True Story – I cried alot. I completely lost my shit during their vows. That never happens but this wedding was pretty amazing. And to capture these two FINALLY celebrating with their families and friends reminded me why I do what I do.
“Nick. You entered my life seamlessly. Having you in my life has been like stumbling across an album you don’t think twice about that ends up being your absolute favorite. Something you go-to for every occasion, for every celebration, every moment of comfort; it’s invariable. You have an ease about you that steadies me. I love your kind eyes, the sound of your voice, and the bed head you have every morning. I am forever grateful for the man that you are, and the people that we have grown to be together. Marrying you was the easiest decision I’ve ever had to make. We have the kind of love great poets write about and the journey of marriage makes the kind of sense that philosophers surmise. I vow to never get mad when you inevitably fall asleep during every movie and every long drive. I vow to always make my hot chocolate each winter. I vow to forever make fun of the way you pronounce words like bagel. I vow to laugh with you each and every day. I vow to build a life with you that we are proud to live. I vow to continue to grow by your side and to give you unconditional, unrelenting love. I love you.”
“My dearest Kala,
Today after planning for just over 2 years we stand before our closest family and friends. Together we promise the rest of our lives to each other.
I promise to hold you tight when you are down and celebrate every accomplishment no matter how small.
I promise to always be your biggest supporter in any endeavor you face and to always remind you how much I truly believe in you.
I promise that after you hear a noise outside our bedroom before going to sleep I will inspect every closet for a serial killer I already know isn’t there.
I promise to always be ready to get morning, afternoon, or nightcap chocolate frosted donuts.
I promise to always lend my shirt when you need your glasses cleaned.
I promise to always relish the feeling of the warm sun gracing our faces and the soft grass beneath us on summer days.
Most of all I promise to love you for who you are. From this moment forward for the rest of our days together”
