This wedding was a fairytale come true. I’ve known Veronique (Nikki) for years now – she is not only a client but a good friend and when she told me about this British man that she started dating, I knew that he was going to be the one she would marry. Before they even started dating, Tom worked as a baker at Whole Foods right next to Nikki’s salon. She would go in and buy pastries just to see him. I remember her telling me that she didn’t even want a pastry or cake – she just wanted to talk to him… then a few months later, I had the pleasure of meeting Tom in the parking lot after a visit with Nikki and that was it. From the way that he looked at her, their fates were sealed.*Fun fact, Tom actually made their wedding cake*They were finally wed this past Saturday in front of – what I can only assume – was their entire family (and a few friends). I don’t know that I’ve ever seen so many family members at a wedding before. Their venue was actually her Aunt’s home and a clear tent provided by Grand Rental Station & Capital Events added a magical ambiance to the already stunning property. The color palate chosen was subtle and romantic, rich greens (included Nikki’s velvet boots) accented by blacks, golds and creams. The night was romanticized further with bistro lights, a ton of candles, FIREWORKS, and a sparkler sendoff. I can’t say congratulations enough to these two, but I do know that their story will end with happily ever after.
