This river side ceremony was not an elopement, but had the intimate feeling of such. Emma and Jake were wed last Saturday at Jake’s grandpa’s home – located right on the Chowan River basin in Roper North Carolina. Absolutely breathtaking but man It was COLD. The breeze blowing in on the bay aided in creating beautiful windblown images. I was mesmerized as I watching Emma’s veil during the ceremony, but I digress. Appropriately so, Emma’s wedding shoes were Uggs, and I believe she wore fleece lined leggings under her gorgeous lace gown. Eucalyptus was the greenery of choice and could be seen throughout the decor, which was subtle and chic, leaving the venue and the bride as the main focus of the day. All signage was created by Emma herself, which I find absolutely mind blowing as I myself can barely write my name sometimes. Emma’s bride tribe complimented her perfectly wearing shades of blush and hunter green, as well as matching flannels – seen periodically throughout the day depending on the strength of the wind. I can not say congratulations enough to these two beautiful souls. Having been together for so long already, I know for a fact, the story of Emma and Jake has not reached the end at all. In fact, it barely has just begun.
