This was such a special day for me to be a part of. All of my couples are amazing and hold a place in my heart – but very rarely do I get to capture a love that I’ve personally watched blossom over the last few years. Last year I helped Jamie plan his surprise proposal to Erin and it was totally magical. Their wedding day has been one I’ve been looking forward to for a long time and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Erin handled most of the details herself – including her perfect makeup, the chalkboard signs, and floral arrangements. The venue (Historic Market Hall) was subtle with a historic, rustic – yet still modern charm – just like this couple. Erin’s dress however… layers of fitted lace with a see through detail screamed sexy elegance, which is pretty much Erin in a nutshell. Jamie agreed on the sexy part as he made that known to me multiple times throughout the day. There were too many special moments to mention throughout the evening but I will say that Erin’s welcome speech, in which she told the story behind “their song” (Die a Happy Man) had everyone in tears. The father of the bride made everyone laugh with his six page speech, which led those in attendance through Erin’s youth and her love story with Jamie. Only to be followed by a choreographed dance between Jamie and his mother to Justin Timberlakes ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’ leading to an open dance floor and eventually a bubble exit.Mr. & Mrs. Zieglmeier (The Ziggy’s from here on out) – I can’t thank you enough for asking me to yet again capture special moments for you. I know that together you will live the happiest life full of adventure and amazing experiences – and I can’t wait to capture that too.
