Kristina and Morgan met at a frat party. She told me that she fell in love the moment he said “I’m going to go read” instead of partying with his “boys”. As they say – the rest is history. They’ve been together several years and are avid “nerds” (not my words) and foodies. Their day began at the picture-perfect Borden Building at Fred Fletcher Park – a classically rustic venue that reflected the couple’s style and charm. From fresh cut herbs and handmade (by the bride’s mom!) paper details, every moment made this celebration one to remember. With a vintage (think 1950’s), yet boho feel, Kristina selected a floor length gown with gorgeous bead detail all over. The florals chosen went right along with the vintage boho vibe, with tons of greenery and even some gold painted leaves. The weather was absolutely perfect, as was their heartfelt ceremony – which included a round or three of roshambo to see who read their vows first. The reception started with a family style dinner at The Bridge Club – this amazingly intimate venue located above one of Raleigh’s top restaurants, Death & Taxes. I can say hands down that it was the most amazing vendor meal I’ve ever had! After dinner, toasts were done – living up to the hype that every toast should be. Kristina’s older sister had written a poem that was hilarious and sincere, and quite honestly had me rolling on the floor laughing. An epic dance party with light up balloons then followed, and the two newlyweds ended their evening with a private dance to “Life is Better with you.” Congratulations to these two amazing humans, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!
