I came back from my family vacation and had this amazing mountain top engagement session in Asheville. I’m still in awe that I get to wake up and do this for a living – ya know, capturing couples in love in the most BEAUTIFUL locations – but that is besides the point. Tara found me on the Knot a few months ago and asked if I would be willing to come out to Asheville before they flew home to Florida at the end of the summer to capture their engagement – of course I said yes. Tara and Jon are seriously some of the sweetest people I have ever met, let alone worked with… and possibly two of the most gorgeous. The second that they pulled up and Tara got out in her lacy maxi from Free People, and Jon in his denim shirt and his dimpled chin, I just about jumped for joy. We drove up to Craggy Garden together while chattering away about how they met, some personal bits about myself, the fact that I am NOT 24 (more joy jumping that they thought I was) – annnnd how epic the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert they went to in Chicago was. My people through and through. I don’t know that I can put into words how much I loved this session. I can say that Tara and Jon said that they were awkward about a million times (they’re not) and we totally thought it was going to rain on us (it didn’t) and their shoot was 100% what photographers dreams are made of (it was).
