Marriage :: Year Six || Franklinton Anniversary Photography

Intimate in home coffee dates are some of my favorite. I officially love them even more when it’s my intimacy, my home, and my handsome coffee date. I challenged myself to take a self portrait every month this year. When I was brainstorming on my August self portrait – it just didn’t feel right not to include my better half. I’ve been wanting these pictures of us for a while now and was so excited when my husband agreed we could lounge around in our pj’s and play in the covers with my camera near by. We sipped coffee and exchanged kisses, laughs, all the while discussing our plan to take over the world. It was so strange to not be behind my camera and even more strange to capture details that are so personal to me. I was hesitant to share these but as an artist there has to be a sort of intimate vulnerability. As my best friend said – soul baring is kind of part of it right? And if I’m being honest I love these images. I love my husband. I love our home. Six years of marriage and a lifetime of happiness to come. CJ – Home is wherever and whenever I’m with you. <3
