I first met Amanda and Drew at Katherine and Treys wedding back in October. I knew right away that we would work well together. They were so laid back and easy going, but so absolutely in love, my favorite kind of couple. It took three different dates to finally shoot their engagement session, but the third time was definitely the charm. The weather was a perfect 56 degrees, with sunny skies, and a magical Winter Solstice sunset. We started out shooting near Martin Street – where the cobble stone streets and bistro lights make for some serious magic – before heading to a parking deck, and then finally to Dorothea Dix park just as the sun was setting over the city. Our session was filled with tons of laughs and intimate moments, despite the hustle and bustle that is Downtown Raleigh four days before Christmas. I can’t wait to work with these two again in May!
